“Educating  young people about natural resource management through participation in conservation activities.”

Many young people today have little or no direct association with natural resources during their formative years. They seldom have the opportunity to develop an appreciation of conservation or to learn basic principles of natural resource relationships and management. Yet, young people of today, as stewards of our resources tomorrow, will determine the quality of our environment.

The Clarendon Conservation Youth Board is designed to help young people develop an awareness of the natural environment, come to understand the vital necessity for proper care and use of natural resources, and comprehend the ways in which man brings about changes in his environment.
